ABOUT lumecca treatment
Lumecca is the most powerful intense pulsed light (IPL) treatment designed to target pigmented and vascular lesions, significantly improving the skin’s complexion and clarity often after just one session. It uses photo-thermolysis, a technique that delivers specific wavelengths of light to interact with red and brown pigments in the skin. These pigments absorb the light and are destroyed without damaging the surrounding tissue. During treatment, patients experience a bright flash of light and a slight prickly sensation.
Mild redness and warmth of the skin are normal and typically subside within an hour. Due to the intensity of the light, sun exposure and tanning should be avoided for 2 weeks post-treatment. Lumecca is effective and safe for use on all areas of the body, especially those frequently exposed to the sun, such as the face, neck, décolletage, hands, arms, and legs. Typically, 1–3 sessions are sufficient to achieve noticeable improvements in skin tone, texture, and the appearance of sun damage, redness, and vascular lesions.
