Aesthetic by Maria is a private aesthetic and wellness clinic providing non-surgical aesthetic and medical-grade treatments in accordance with UK healthcare and regulatory standards.

2) Acceptance of Terms

By accessing our website, booking an appointment, or undergoing treatment, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not accept these Terms, please do not use our website or services. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the most recent version of these Terms.

3) Practitioner & Treatment Disclaimer

All injectable, medical, and advanced aesthetic procedures (including threads, skin boosters, and other regulated treatments) are performed by, or under the supervision of, a suitably qualified and registered healthcare professional.

If your appointed practitioner changes due to availability, clinical suitability, or safety considerations, we will inform you and ensure continuity of care with another qualified practitioner. Clients acknowledge that all treatments carry risks, outcomes vary between individuals, and no guarantee of specific results can be provided.

4) Appointments & Bookings

Appointments may be booked via phone, email, or our Fresha online booking platform. You agree to provide accurate and complete information when booking. Appointment confirmations and reminders are sent via email, SMS, or WhatsApp.

5) Consultation Fees, Deposits & Cancellation Policy

To secure an appointment, a deposit is required. The deposit amount is proportionate to the average cost of the treatment and is designed primarily to minimise last-minute cancellations and no-shows, not to act as a penalty. The amount is set at a level that is fair and reasonable, without discouraging new or existing clients from booking.

Cancellations made 48 hours or more before the appointment can be rescheduled without penalty.
Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice will result in forfeiture of the deposit or a cancellation fee.
No-shows without prior notice will incur a charge equivalent to the full deposit or a percentage of the treatment cost.
Deposits are redeemable against the cost of your treatment on attendance and completion.

By booking, you acknowledge and agree to this policy. We reserve the right to waive or amend fees at our discretion in exceptional circumstances.

6) Refunds & Packages

All treatment fees are payable in GBP (£) and include VAT where applicable.

Refunds are not provided for completed treatments or in cases where outcomes differ from individual expectations, as treatment results may naturally vary between clients. Pre-paid treatment packages or courses must be redeemed within a period of 6 to 12 months from the date of purchase, as confirmed at the time of booking. Requests for refunds of unused treatments will only be considered in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws and the clinic’s Refund Policy. In circumstances where a treatment is assessed as medically unsuitable prior to commencement, any deposit paid may be refunded or transferred to another appropriate service, subject to clinical and administrative review.

7) Client Responsibility & Medical Disclosure

You are required to provide full and accurate information regarding your medical history, medications, allergies, and prior treatments. Failure to disclose relevant information may affect your safety and the outcome of your procedure. The clinic reserves the right to decline or modify treatment if it is not medically appropriate or if incomplete/false information is provided.

8) Pre-Treatment Requirements

All clients are required to undergo a consultation and suitability assessment prior to receiving any treatment. Treatments are not provided during pregnancy or breastfeeding, and clients must be at least 18 years of age, with proof of identification requested where necessary. Clients are also expected to follow all pre- and post-treatment instructions provided by their practitioner to ensure safety and the best possible outcomes.

9) Treatment Risks & Aftercare

All aesthetic and medical treatments carry potential risks such as redness, bruising, swelling, infection, or allergic reactions. Your practitioner will discuss these in detail during consultation. You agree to:

1) Follow aftercare instructions carefully.
2) Attend any recommended follow-up appointments.
3) Report any concerns or adverse effects immediately.

Failure to follow aftercare advice may affect results and limit our ability to assist you in the event of complications.

10) Service Modifications & Safety

Aesthetic by Maria reserves the right to modify, postpone, or cancel a treatment where:

1) It is deemed unsafe or unsuitable to proceed.
2) There is a change in practitioner availability.
3) Equipment or product issues arise.
In such cases, clients will be offered an alternative date, practitioner, or appropriate refund in line with clinic policy.

11) Use of Images & Testimonials

Clinical photographs or videos may be taken before, during, or after your treatment as part of your medical record. With your explicit written consent, anonymised photos or testimonials may also be used for marketing, training, or educational purposes. You may withdraw this consent at any time by notifying us in writing. We will not use identifiable images without your consent.

12) Data Protection & Record Retention

We process all personal and medical data in accordance with the UK GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018, and our Privacy Policy. Your treatment records, consent forms, and photographs are stored securely and retained for at least 8 years (or until age 25 for minors) as required by healthcare standards. All data is kept confidential, with access limited to authorised personnel involved in your care.

13) Payments

Payments can be made through Fresha, debit/credit card, or other approved methods. Full payment is required before or at the time of treatment. We do not offer refunds for completed services, except as required by consumer law.

14) Limitation of Liability

While every effort is made to ensure your safety, Aesthetic by Maria’s liability for any direct losses arising from negligence shall not exceed the total amount paid for the relevant treatment.

We are not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses (including loss of income or dissatisfaction with aesthetic outcomes). Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.

If unresolved, disputes will be governed by the laws of England and Wales and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

19) Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays, cancellations, or interruptions to service caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, pandemics, or regulatory restrictions.

20) Regulatory Compliance

Aesthetic by Maria operates in compliance with relevant healthcare, data protection, and aesthetic treatment regulations, including those of the Care Quality Commission (CQC) where applicable. All staff act within the scope of their professional registration and training.
